We start at Kranjska Gora and drive towards Vršič. At the third hairpin bend we park on a small parking lot by the road.

We start, on foot, at the 3. hairpin bend towards the mountain hut in Krnica and the road begins to descend from the very beginning. Soon, as we reach a meadow, two options appear. Taking a path slightly to the left, we reach a forest road, taking the one to the right, which is a footpath, we will be walking on the edge of the forest. Soon we can see the cottage, where it is nice and shady. From here on we walk through the valley of Krnica where the forest path shortly ends and we continue our trip across rubble that the storms from Prisojnik have brought along. Here, the path changes in to a steep slope, but we continue in the same direction. Behind us we can see the last trees as we approach a scree. On the upper side of the scree our path bends slightly to the left and we soon reach the bottom of Krniška rock wall. Here, the climbing begins. The path first turns left and it mostly leads us through natural passages. You must be extra careful not to start a rock fall. The climbing doesn't take long and we soon reach the top (height: 2289m). At the first crossroads we take a left and start to descend (on the right there is a 30 min walk to Križ), the same at the second (on the right, a path to Vrata). We are now walking under the slopes of Dovški Gamsovec. As the road starts to rise again, our goal is Rde?a Škrbina between Dolkova špica and Rogljica. We take a right and it is only a 15 min walk and light climbing to the top. The view from it is amazing from all sides.
