At first we drive to Mojstrana and follow the road towards Vrata valley where we park on a big parking lot couple of minutes before Aljažev dom.

At Aljažev dom we go right, heading to Škrlatica. At first the path leads through pretty overgrown forest. After 15 minutes we get through a steep mountain stream and the path turns right. From here on the way goes with keys to the height of 1300m. The path goes over an avalanche area and starts to turn towards Stenar. Now we're walking under the walls of Stenar. Trees start to rarefy and soon above the forest edge the path turns sharply to the right. 10 minutes of ascension and we're at the bivouac Na Rušju. It helps us in case of storms or just for sleeping. We keep the bivouac clean. There is a crosroad where we go right (left = Križ). From here on the path goes over a scree and right after that we go through the ledge to the pastures under Dolkova špica. Path slowly starts to go down. We can run into a snowfield in the early summer so be careful. The path starts to rise again and we soon get to Zadnji Dolek. It is a mountain basin between Škrlatica and Dolkova špica. We're on a crossroad and we go right (left = Dolkova špica). We start to ascend over a scree and we have to persist to the top. We get near Škrlatica. The path goes through the west wall and is secured with steel wires and pins. We get to the hardest part of this trip soon. If you look at the wall, it's almost narrow and the path goes over it. It's a perfect place to take some pictures. Be careful, a cramp can sometimes turn a little. A little more climbing and we can see the window in Škrlatica. We soon get to the crest, and from here we only have 20 minutes left to the top. The crest isn't exposed, but you should be careful. We get to the top when we notice the cross. Enough spece is up there, and the view is beautiful.
