Firstly we drive into center of Bovec where we orient upwards the road going past a church towards Kaninska vas. We follow the road and it soon brings us to a crossroad where we continue straght. Left road drops to village Plužna. We keep following it towards B postaja (B station). At B postaja it turns to left. We keep following it for 1 kilometer to the next crossroad where we turn to left. We follow this road for a short time all the way to a small parking lot at marks for Kanin.

We follow the worse road onward. Soon we can see a branch to the left (to Kanin) but we continue forward. After a 15 min walk the road disappears and a sign leads us in the forest towards plateau Krnica, 15 min away. On the plateau the forest ends and our path takes a left and starts to ascend. At first, it goes through a small forest, but it soon comes to an end and leads us to a valley named Krnica. The path ascends through meadows full of alpine flowers and on the bottom of it there is a small mountain stream. The valley levels for a small amount of time and than starts to rise again. It starts to narrow and the meadows are turning in to screes. We can see the ski slope Preval and a saddle with the same name. There is no trouble to get to the saddle and the path takes a left by the ski slope as we reach it. After a 30 min walk we reach the saddle of Škrbina under Prestreljenik. Here, the road takes a right and in 30 min over a steep slope, with the help of some protection reaches the top.
