We drive from Škofja Loka towards Gorenja vas where we come to a crossroads and turn right towards Žiri. Soon a road towards Hotavlje branches to right (at restaurant). After couple of metres of driving we can see a church on the left side which is reachable with the road turning left across a bridge. Indicators for Slajka and Ermanovec are in the crossroads. We park on a small parking lot between a church and a brook. Do not park on the backyard!

We continue from the church on the left side of a brook (right bank) upwards on a bridge. We orient on a steep road which is rising on the left siede of the brook. It brings us to a crossroad after 10 minutes where we orient on the right road and follow it to a bigger meadow on the left side. Here the footpath branches to left upwards on a meadow. At first we climb upwards the meadow and then the path brings us into a forest. After couple of minutes of walking we come to a road but we only cross it. Path rises steeply and brings us into a grassy valley which is surrounded by a forest. Path is then withdrawing slightly right and brings us on a wide overgrown ridge. We follow it for couple of minutes and then the path brings us again in a valley which is overgrown now. Path then crosses slopes towards left and brings us out of the forest on a car track. We cross it and climb upwards a meadow. Path through the meadow brings us to an asphalt road which goes towards dom na Slajki. We orient right upwards and we follow the road to a hut. We orient in direction of Ermanovec. This road soon becomes a car track ant it orients to left. Car track crosses a meadow in a slight descent and then it starts rising all the way to the forest We quickly cross a short zone of a forest and the path brings us to the point where an unmarked path towards the top of Špik branches to right. We continue straight on the car track downwards to the point where it joins to the road from Hotavlje. We keep on walking on the road which brings us to a Stara Oselica village in 15 minutes. We join to an asphalt road from Trebije there. We continue walking at the right side and slightly rise partly through a village and meadows and partly through a forest. Road again brings us in a crossroad at a chapel. Here we orient to right towards a hut (top of Ermanovec 15 minutes to left). We come to a hut on Ermanovec after 10 minutes of walking.
