We drive from Bovec or Predel to Log pod Mangartom. If we are driving from Bovec we will turn left but if we are driving from Predel we will turn right on a macadam road. We drive for couple of hunderd metres till a parking lot by a playground and mine.

We go past the museum exhibition of the mine from the parking lot and can go to the entrance to the mine. Cold air will reach us from the mine and we will follow the road that starts here. It descends into a small stream at the beginning, goes across it and ascends left, through the forest. After about 5 min the steepness reduces and we traverse the slopes almost oblique. We then traverse a meadow (a small ski slope) and go into the woods again. We come to a stable with goats and soon reach a crossing. We go right and reach the basin on Gorejca.
