At first we drive into Preddvor and keep driving towards neighbouring village Mače. Road is leading us through Mače and we follow it after marks for Kališče. A sign soon behind the village lets us know we mustnt keep on with driving. Here we turn right on a parking lot and park on it.

We took the road we left as we got to the parking place and follow it for a half an hour to a crossing, where we take a left and go in the direction of Kališče. The path goes across a stream and leads us to a cart track that we leave immediately. We take a foot path that goes between the two cart tracks and start to ascend. The path soon leads us back to the cart track and we follow it upwards for a few min and take a foot path again, which leads us to some benches and then into the woods. The path crosses a cart track and starts to ascend through a forest. We get the feeling that we are ascending very quickly. The forest starts to get thicker and the view of Upper Carniola appears sometimes.
We then reach the pasture Kališče and only 15 min ascent through a forest separates us from the mountain hut, Dom na Kališču.
We then continue over a wide crest towards Storžič and a path soon branches off to Bašeljski vrh, but we continue forward. A wide path leads us to Bašeljsko saddle, where a path from Jezersko joins ours. There is a sign on the saddle, leading us to a road that goes west, straight forward. After a sharp ascent, it leads us after 30 min to crest Storžič and then to the south slopes of Stožič. This part of the way is dangerous and you might slip, so caution is advised! The steepness reduces a bit and the path continues over the crest or just beneath it. A few meters from the top we join with the road from Žrelo (also from pasture Javornik and Pisca) and continue right to the top, which has a cross on it.
