1. We drive from Cerknica towards Lož and then towards village Pudob where we turn right in direction of Snežnik and village Kozarišče. Asphalt ends at castle Snežnik but we keep on driving on a macadam road. Road leads us through some crossroads but we always orient in direction of Mašun. After a long time drive on a macadam we come to a crossroads of equivalent roads where we notice mark for Sviščaki. We turn sharp left here and follow a macadam road till pasture house on Sviščaki. A road towards Snežnik branches to left here. We direct on it and follow it through a small village on Sviščaki till a crossroads where we direct on the left road. Soon a road branches to sharp right but we continue driving till a next crossroads where we park on an unmarked parking lot. 2. We drive to Ilirska Bistrica where we orient in direction of Sviščaki (left, right if we come from Croatia). We keep following this road till Sviščaki. Road towards Snežnik branches to right at a pasture house on Sviščaki. We direct on it and follow it through a small village on Sviščaki till a crossroads where we direct on the left road. Soon a road branches to sharp right but we continue driving till a next crossroads where we park on an unmarked parking lot.

The parking lot is right across the street above, which brought us within a few minutes leads to a crossroads. Proceed as worse road in the direction of Snežnik to us after 15 minutes leads to places where the road ends. Here we open a nice view towards the top Snežnik. Signpost us then focus on good stezico, which climbs between rušjem in prečnici under small Snežnik. Increasingly viewing the way for us to the reef, where the left offs on the way to Mali Snežnik. We continue to the right and in ten minutes to reach shelter Sněžníku. From shelters to the top but we have only a few steps.
